Island Triathlon Beginner Triathlon Clinic – “Try a Tri”

Thinking about triathlon and not sure where to start?  Do we have a program for you!  “Try a Tri” is our program especially designed for the adult beginner triathlete.  You’ll learn the basics of training, basic technique in all three disciplines and train with club mates who are also brand new to the sport of triathlon. Island Triathlon Full Team Program – Level 1 & 2

Ready to do your first triathlon? Getting back to triathlon after a few years away? You’re probably level 1 or 2. This program is our recreational/introductory level. Learn the basics of training, basic technique in all three disciplines, and a great group of coaches and club-mates to help you reach your goals. Island Triathlon Full Team Program – Level 3 

Ready to take it to the next level? Then what are you waiting for?! This program is our experienced/long-distance program, focusing from Olympic distance triathlons to Ironman. I-Tri Team offers a strength training component during the fall/winter, technique correction in all three disciplines, a competitive environment with strong support by experienced coaches and amazing team-mates, and much more! Island Triathlon Run/Bike Only Program

Not quite ready to commit to a full time program?  Our new Bike/Run only program will give those who don’t want to swim, or swim elsewhere, to enjoy our runs at bikes at an affordable price.  You’ll get 2 coached runs, 2 indoor brick sessions (spin/run and spin/core) plus our popular Saturday morning group ride.  (M, T, W, Th & Sat) See schedule for details.  Register today!

Island Triathlon Weekends Only Program

Not quite ready to do your first triathlon? Perhaps you want to be a part of Island triathlon but can’t make weeknight workouts? Join our “Weekends Only” program and stay connected.  You’ll get a group ride on Saturdays and a swim on Sundays.  Learn the basics of training and technique in cycling and swimming, and run on your own.  A great way to maintain the “social” side of triathlon. Island Triathlon Swim Only Program

For those that just want to participate in our popular evening swims, the Swim Only Program will get our swimming to the next level.  You’ll get two swims per week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with swim coaches extraordinaire!  Join us and improve your speed, endurance and technique today! Gear

Activity Essentials Other
Swim Swimsuit, goggles, swim-cap, water!!! Pull-buoy, fins
Bike Road bike.
Indoor, your own wind trainer (I-Tri Team), water!!!
Outdoor, helmet, proper ridding gear according to weather (i.e.gloves, jacket, cycling shorts, etc), tool kit, spare tire, fenders for fall/winter, water!!!
biking shoes/pedals, towel, bike computer
Run Proper running shoes, proper running gear according to weather (i.e. toque, gloves, light jacket, tights, shorts,etc), reflective gear/bands, lights, water!!!

Please note that water is essential in every workout. You can either bring plain water or your favourite sports drink.
